Recently there were rumors about Mariah Carey got engaged with its leading man in her next video Bye-Bye, Nick Cannon. Its all over in gossip magazines such as People, Star and many more. Just today in Singapore The Straits Times it was reported that Mariah got marreid with Nick in the Carribean. By the way Nick has acted in film such as Drumlines, Shall We Dance to name a few. They are 11 years apart, so are there truth to the rumors or pure publicity stunt for her next video, we are soon to find out.

1. Clergyman: I Presided Over Mariah & Nick's WeddingBishop Clifford Petty of the National Church of God in the Caribbean confirmed to PEOPLE that he presided over the wedding of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon.
Petty provided no details except to say that he did not give a sermon.
Carey, 39, and Cannon, 27, obtained a marriage license on the Bahamian island of Eleuthera, a source confirms to PEOPLE. Petty's church is based in Eleuthera, in the town of Governor's Harbour, but he didn't say whether the wedding took place there or elsewhere.
According to marriage requirements for the Bahamas, a couple must be in the country for at least 48 hours, be over the age of 16 and have obtained a valid marriage license within 90 days, says Monique Gomez, a Bahamian attorney in Nassau who specializes in family law.
The source says that Carey did obtain a license in Eleuthera within that time period. And clarifies Gomez, "The minister would make sure (the license) goes into the registry. It's still a valid marriage even if it's not filed. Anywhere in the world."
The National Church of God, based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., was established in 1967 and has churches in South Florida, New York, the Bahamas and Jamaica, according to the church Web site.
"We are a church with a heart of a community, and a community with a church at heart," says the site, which lists Petty as the Bahamas Regional Overseer.

Though some speculated that Carey's ring was the same one Cannon gave to his former fiancée, Victoria's Secret model Seltia Ebanks, Ebanks's ring was 12 carats and made of colorless diamonds.
"It may look similar from afar but it's not the same," said Arabo. "I would never do one of the same he had before."

After dating less than two months, Carey, 39, and Cannon, 27, got hitched in an impromptu island ceremony. This wasn't the first whirlwind courtship for Cannon, who proposed to Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks last year after just four months of dating. (The pair split last October.)
A source close to Ebanks – who received a 12-carat diamond ring from Jacob & Co jewelers, similar to the 17-carat Jacob bauble Carey is sporting – says the model "really is not affected by it. She is past that point in her life." Ebanks's rep says Ebanks "has no comment other than she wishes them well."
